Leeza Gibbons has a big secret to share.

The veteran entertainment journalist, 54, quietly wed Steven Fenton, 41, at midnight Wednesday on the rooftop of the Montage Beverly Hills ? the same location where they had their first date.

Surrounded by candles and white roses from the couple's Beverly Hills home, they exchanged vows they'd written themselves in front of a burning fire. Gibbons' three children ? Lexi, 21, Troy, 19, and Nathan, 13 ? were the only people in attendance at the intimate ceremony.

"We are living the fairy tale," said Gibbons, who wore a dress by designer Sue Wong on her big day. "We have so much respect for each other and grow stronger together; always so grateful to have been given another chance at love."

Added Fenton, "Leeza, is the most kind person I have ever known. It's that compassion that I see every day in her children. My life is now complete."

Both Lexi and Troy became ordained ministers online so they could officiate their mother's wedding. Nathan presided over the giving of the rings, which featured five stacked bands to represent each member of the family.

Lexi also serenaded her mom and new stepfather with Rascal Flatts' song "Bless the Broken Road."

"On my first date with Steven, he was 38 and I was 51. Now three years later, I am finally able to embrace my inner cougar!" said Gibbons, who in addition to planning a secret wedding, has been busy hosting the PBS show "My Generation" and working on her successful Sheer Cover makeup line.

Gibbons and Fenton, who is the son of the former mayor of Beverly Hills, first met after being set up on a blind date three years ago. They became engaged in June.
