Ethan Hawke and his wife Ryan Shawhughes are expecting their second child together.

Ethan Hawke is going to become a father again.

The actor and his wife Ryan Shawhughes are expecting their second child together. They already have a two-year-old daughter Clementine.

A source told Us Weekly magazine: "Ryan is five months along, totally showing."

The couple don't yet know the sex of the baby but their little girl knows what type of sibling she wants.

Another source said: "They don't know the gender, but Clementine really wants a little brother! She's (Ryan's) got an adorable little basketball belly!"

Ethan has two other children, Maya, 12, and nine-year-old Levon, from his marriage to actress Uma Thurman.

Ryan and the 40-year-old Hollywood star first met when she was working as a nanny to Maya and Levon, and they started dating in 2005, a year after he split from Uma.

Ethan has previously described his children as "the greatest pleasure" in his life.

He added: "It's the only role that, if I fail, I will consider my life a failure."
