LOS ANGELES - "Bi-winning" actor Charlie Sheen says he's making good on a promised donation to the Calgary-based Organization for Bipolar Affective Disorders.

The actor's business manager told the nonprofit group that a check for $5,880 will arrive Friday via FedEx, representing Sheen's dollar-for-dollar match of funds donated by fans, the group's Kaj Korvela told the News on Thursday.

The move comes after Korvela voiced frustration over a bizarre charity march Sheen staged in support of the organization last week in Toronto.

Sheen was wearing a hat with the slogan "I'M NOT BIPOLAR" as he stood on a car and rallied onlookers.

"We weren't consulted from beginning, and the impromptu parade wasn't done in a dignified way in some respects," Korvela said.

"The hat was an insult to people, and that kind of concerned me."

Korvela said he tried contacting Sheen's Twitter guru for an accounting of donations collected on the street and to iron out details of how Sheen would match funds - but he never heard back.

He tried Sheen's publicist and finally got a call from Sheen's business manager.

"We're happy to receive the funds, and we'll use them to help people with serious chronic mental health issues and spread awareness about mental health," he said.

Sheen's "My Violent Torpedo of Truth" show has a stop in Atlanta Thursday night before it moves to Florida, Texas and Colorado.
