Graham Allchorn: Has joined NewMark Merrill Cos., a Woodland Hills-based owner of shopping centers. As managing director and principal, he will head the newly formed NMC Development Partners.

Ernst & Young: Announced the 21 Los Angeles area finalists for its Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. They include Matt Dusig and Gregg Lavin, co-founders of United Sample Inc., in Encino; Ernesto Gutierrez, president and CEO of Allied Industries Inc., Sherman Oaks; and Neal Schore, president and CEO of Triton Digital Media, Sherman Oaks. Winners will be announced during a banquet on Tuesday.

George HaFoury: The owner of Zoidian Cigar, 212 S. Everett St., Glendale, has been accepted into the 2,000-member International Premium Cigar and Pipe Retailers Association.

Laurie Hurley: Launched a Newbury Park-based social-networking training site, www.LaurieHurleySNCC.com, offering advice and tactics for business owners.

KCLU: Received nine awards for broadcast excellence from three organizations - the California Teachers Association, the Radio Television Digital News Association and The Associated Press Television and Radio Association. The National Public Radio station broadcasts from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks.

Keyes Lexus: Received the automaker's Elite of Lexus award, which recognizes

excellence in new and pre-owned sales as well as delivery quality and Internet follow-up. The Elite award was the 11th for the Van Nuys-based dealership.

Brad Levin: The founder and president of Legacy Wealth Partners in Woodland Hills has been designated an Accredited Investment Fiduciary by Fiduciary360, an industry training and research facility. Levin lives in Calabasas.

Milken Family Foundation: Awarded $10,000 scholarships to North Hollywood High graduates Angela Oh, who will attend Harvard University, and Mary Oh, who will attend the University of Southern California.

University City-North Hollywood Chamber: Has partnered with WhoCanHelp.com to develop an online marketplace for local service providers.

Unleashed by Petco: Will celebrate its grand opening this weekend with giveaways, pet adoptions and special events. The store is at 16848 San Fernando Mission Blvd., Granada Hills; 818-832-1016.

West Valley Industrial LLC: Purchased a multitenant industrial group at 21026 Osborne St., Canoga Park, for $2.55 million, from H&D Osborne Investments. Delphi Business Properties represented the buyer and Lee & Associates-LA North/Ventura Inc., represented the seller.
