His TV producer son Jay McGraw and wife Erica are expecting their second child. The two are already parents to daughter Avery Elizabeth, 1.
Erica, who, along with her sisters Nicole and Jaclyn, is known as a "Dahm triplet," and Jay, 31, executive producer of The Doctors, made the announcement officially on television's Dr. Phil show.
"Robin and I are thrilled Jay and Erica are expecting again," Dr Phil tells PEOPLE, "and the due date is my birthday ? Sep. 1. Avery has been getting us into tiptop babysitting shape."
At the time the couple announced their first pregnancy while on a family vacation in Italy, Dr. Phil said, "I think Jay and Erica were totally ready and will make the best parents a child could ever want. I plan to be the typical doting grandfather that gets to do all the fun stuff and none of the tough stuff."
??The couple, who shared a memorable ultrasound of Avery with a national audience on Jay's show, wed in 2006 at the McGraw family home in Beverly Hills, with Dr. Phil serving as Jay's best man.?
With a little sporting action seeming to be popular choice in closing out the weekend, the stars turned up in the droves at Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon (April 3).
Among those on-hand for the matchup between the hometown Los Angeles Lakers and the visiting Denver Nuggets were Hollywood couples including Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green, as well as Ashley Tisdale and boyfriend Scott Speer.
With "10,000 BC" beauty Camilla Belle and "Gossip Girl" actress Jessica Szohr also doing their best to root the Kobe Bryant led Lakers to a win, the star power cheering section proved to fall on deaf ears - as Los Angeles ended up on the wrong end of things as they lost by a score of 95-90.
He wed girlfriend Lauren Skaar at the Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Beach, California on Saturday.
The couple met in an El Lay Whole Foods parking lot in 2009 and have been in love ever since.
They exchanged vows, overlooking the ocean, in a gazebo that was adorned with gold curtains and surrounded by cherry blossom trees.
When asked about his beautiful bride, Michael said:
"She's my best friend in the world and that's why I asked her to marry me. I have more fun with her than with anyone I've ever met. I just woke up one day and could not imagine living without her. The great thing about her and me is that I feel like I can be 100 percent myself."
Aw, so lovely! We are so happy for you two!

But no one has paid tribute to Rebecca Black's "Friday" quite like Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon. The talk show hosts, who have agreed to be best friends for six months, collaborated on the track during Fallon's show last night.
The performance (which included The Roots and Taylor Hicks) came after Colbert accepted Fallon's challenge to cover the YouTube smash if Fallon's audience came up with $26,000 to give to DonorsChoose.Org. Both sides came through with their ends of the deal, leading to the following hilarity:

Eddie Murphy is still funny and foolish at 50 - the star celebrates his big birthday on Sunday.
Making his way up the laughing ladder, Murphy first made his name as a stand-up comic before a stint on Saturday Night Live shot him into the comedy stratosphere.
His turns in the Beverly Hills Cop movies made him a household name, and despite a series of recent film flops, he proves he's still got it with his role as the adorable Donkey in animated hit Shrek.
But Murphy isn't just a funnyman - his all-singing, all-dancing role in Dreamgirls won him a surprise Best Supporting Actor nomination.
And to celebrate a career which has shone as brightly as his mega-watt smile, we've searched through the archives to find 10 facts on birthday boy Murphy.
- Murphy started his career early, writing stand-up routines when he was just 15 years old after being inspired by Bill Cosby.
- He is often named the most successful SNL alumni and is credited for revitalising the sketch show when it hit a slump in the early 1980s.
- Has also enjoyed success on America's Billboard chart, with two hits to his name - Party All the Time and Put Your Mouth on Me.
- He has dated Halle Berry, Whitney Houston and former Spice Girl Melanie Brown.
- Murphy set a record at the 2007 Razzie Awards when he was voted for five gongs - the most ever for one star in the same year. All of the unwanted award nominations were for his flop Norbit.
- He's the first actor to be paid $1 million for his debut movie role.
- He was one of several stars to fall victim to a death hoax last December, with reports suggesting he had passed away in a skiing accident.
- Murphy admits he hated facing his 50th birthday, because he'll looked like a "creepy old man" if he hits on girls.
- Murphy is very clean cut - he doesn't smoke or drink and his only vice is strong coffee.
- He took home 20 per cent of the box office takings of his Nutty Professor franchise.
