"Rosie introduced me to Bette Midler and one day called me and invited me to meet Cher," Kathy said. "I didn't want to ask for a picture. Even this big mouth knows when to shut up. But Rosie said Cher wants your number and then she called me."
But even bigger than being new best friends with Cher, Kathy debuts tonight on 'Glee' playing a Sarah Palin-esque regionals judge. "Don't you dare imply it's Sarah Palin," Kathy joked. "Although I'm sure Sarah will have the girls over tonight and watch the show with a bottle of vodka."
And how did Kathy feel when Sarah finally cracked and fought back last week calling the comedian a "50-year-old bully"?
"It was a dream come true," Kathy told me. "I love these celebs that still don't get it. I rolled out the red carpet and she walked right into my act. I added two shows to my Broadway schedule because of her. I laughed when she told me to come to Alaska. Didn't she know I have not only been to Alaska, I brought Levi Johnston and went to her house, knocked on her door and left her a note?"
However, Kathy does admit she never did get to meet the former Governor, "I would wear a bullet proof vest and underpants. She would see me as a mouse. I would tell her it's nice to meet you, my name is Tina Fey."
Kathy, who came under fire for saying she was going to go after Palin's 16-year old daughter next, told me, "When 16-year-old Willow goes on Facebook and uses the f-words, which I believe can lead to the loss of life, expect to hear from me. She's 16 and using f-words is wrong. Where did you learn it?"
Contrary to rumors out there, Kathy isn't ending her hit Bravo show 'My Life on The D-list' because of all those housewives, but rather she wanted to do something different. "I'm doing four stand-up specials in one year. That has never been done before. They haven't seem my show. My first one is called '50 and Not Pregnant.'"
